Brookfield is committed to the development of our people through challenging work assignments and exposure to diverse businesses.**Job Description**The Vice President, Writer will be part of the Content Team and responsible for producing institutional-quality content to drive fundraising, investor engagement, and brand and communications initiatives focused on the Real Estate asset class. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the real estate sector and be able to engage directly with some of the world’s most sophisticated investors in the space. This role requires a versatile writer who can produce engaging and original content across various platforms and adapt their style to suit different audiences and mediums. This individual will work especially closely with the Real Estate business and more broadly collaborate with professionals across the firm, including those in marketing, fundraise management, investments, investor relations, communications, branding and legal & compliance.**Responsibilities**The writer will:* Write and develop compelling and insightful thought leadership, articles and blogs, video and podcast scripts, website copy, social media and other content, with a focus on but not limited to the Real Estate asset class.* Edit and proofread client communications and collateral, including white papers and articles, client letters and fund updates, emails, event invites, agendas and corporate bios.* Collaborate with Brookfield’s Real Estate business on the production of asset class and product-specific presentations, pitchbooks, fact sheets, and other related materials.* Work with the Head of Content Strategy to develop and execute content strategies and campaigns that align with business goals and target audiences; and work closely with marketing, design and other departments to bring these to life.* Work closely with Brookfield’s Real Estate business to generate story ideas, understand the latest market developments and conduct research on industry-related topics.* Repurpose materials as needed for various institutional audience segments.* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, seeking feedback from stakeholders and ensuring timely delivery of quality content.**Qualifications and Requirements**The ideal candidate will have:* Knowledge of alternative investing, with 10+ years of experience in asset management/financial services. Experience and knowledge of real estate is required.* Proven experience as a writer, content creator or similar role. A portfolio of published articles or written work is required.* A creative ability to translate complex topics into clear and engaging content for various platforms and audiences.* Consensus-building savvy within a highly collaborative environment that includes a wide range of stakeholders; openness to receiving feedback.* Strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to get projects to the finish line.* A self-starter mentality with the ability to prioritize work within a complex, fast-paced environment.* Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related field.Salary Range: $180,000 - $200,000Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive.
