nnGENERAL SUMMARY:
nDirects, coordinates and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility.
nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
n- n
- Provides production support to the machining area and the assembly area. n
- Analyzes engineering sketches, specifications and related data and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape and arrangement of parts. n
- Sketches rough layouts and computes angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages and location of holes. n
- Plans and formulates engineering program and organizes project staff according to project requirements. n
- Assigns project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing. n
- Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards and customer contract requirements, and related specifications. n
- Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problems. n
- Directs integration of technical activities and products. n
- Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications and drawing releases. n
- Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget. n
- Prepares interim and completion project reports. n
- Measures parts and assemblies during production to ensure compliance with design specifications. n
- Uses CAD software to develop designs. n
- Handles material review board responsibilities for product engineering. n
- Maintain regular attendance n
- Adhere to Marion Body Works Inc. Quality Policy. n

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
n- n
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or engineering related field. n
- 1 to 3 years or more of experience in Engineering n
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft office products n
- PC proficiency n
