$20.00 per hour
Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician Highlights Fully
remote
opportunity (work from anywhere in the U.S.)
Training:
12/01/2025 – 01/20/2026, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST, Monday – Friday No training on 12/25/2025 and 01/01/2026
After training, shifts will be assigned within business hours of
8:00 AM – 11:00 PM CST
based on business needs
This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire permanently based on performance and business needs
Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities Handle a high volume of inbound calls from members, providers, and healthcare professionals
Deliver professional and courteous customer service while guiding callers through the prior authorization process
Review clinical documentation for completeness and eligibility based on established criteria
Accurately document all determinations, including approvals and denials, in a timely manner
Escalate clinical judgment calls and complex inquiries to a pharmacist for evaluation
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company protocols
Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician Requirements High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
Minimum of
1 year of healthcare experience
as a pharmacy technician or in a related role
Experience in a
high-volume call center environment
(medical field preferred)
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Pharmacy Technician License or National Certification
preferred
(must be active and in good standing if held)
Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
