Overview

Editor, Post-Production role at United Talent Agency (UTA). Join the global Corporate Communications team in Los Angeles as a key member of the Media Production department. The team produces a diverse range of video content to support corporate storytelling across entertainment, music, the creator economy, sports, and brands. The Editor, Post-Production will lead or support the creation of company and department sizzles, client reels, short-form video and graphic content for UTA’s social feeds, short-form episodic content, event recaps, and high-quality motion graphic assets. The role collaborates with Communications, Events, and the agency to capture, create, and elevate video content that advances UTA’s leadership in the marketplace.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or support end-to-end post-production workflows, from ingest to final delivery.
  • Produce company and department sizzles, client reels, short-form social edits, episodic content, event recaps, and motion graphics assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture, create, and elevate video content that aligns with project goals.
  • Balance artistic vision with project management, timelines, and stakeholder communication.
  • Pitch ideas and provide hands-on support during original productions when needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years as a video editor or producer-editor (preditor). Portfolio demonstrating range, storytelling skill, and technical ability.
  • Editing Expertise: Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro; working knowledge of Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Avid; strong pacing, music editing, sound design, color correction, and finishing.
  • Motion & Design: Proficiency in After Effects for motion graphics; familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, Media Encoder (Creative Cloud).
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of digital video formats, Frame rates, codecs, compression; media management, asset delivery, and archiving; cloud-based workflows.
  • Collaboration & Mindset: Able to take direction, share ideas confidently, manage time and deadlines; collaborative and flexible; willing to support production when needed.
  • Pitching & Presenting: Client-facing experience is a plus; ability to present concepts and editing solutions to internal teams, partners, and clients.
  • Tools & Workflow: Experience with Frame.io, Wipster, Asana, Trello, Monday, Box/Dropbox/Google Drive; comfortable in macOS; proficient with Slack and Zoom.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (not required).
