Job Description: As a German & Portuguese Pedagogist, you will be working with cross-functional teams (Product, UI designer, UX researcher, Engineers and Program managers) to define guidelines and rubrics for German & Portuguese tailored to different proficiency levels, evaluating the learning content and providing insights to User Experience team to build the product suitable and useful for German & Portuguese language learners. This is a remote position but requires working with teams in Mountain View, CA. This is a temporary assignment with duration from September to December this year with at least 30 hrs/week availability.

Responsibilities

• Help identify innovative UX solutions to routine user, product, and business problems. Respond to evolving design constraints.
• Help define quality rubrics for LLM generated speaking, listening and vocabulary content, as well as the LLM generated learning recommendations tailored to the proficiency levels (Beginner, intermediate, advanced).
• Create golden examples for learning scenarios tailored to different German & Portuguese learner proficiency levels.
• Evaluate LLM generated learning content.
• Test the product experience and provide feedback and insights.
• Analyze user needs, pain points, or gaps in language comprehension. Through collaboration with others, help identify defined problems with defined solutions within the constraints of strategy, product, or technology.
• Use key data and metrics to evaluate product impact and invest in understanding the product ecosystem, user trends, and industry (e.g., competitors).

Qualifications

• Minimum: 3 years professional experience in teaching German & Portuguese to non-native speakers.
• Experience in learning content design for German & Portuguese.
• Preferred qualifications: a degree in Language teaching.
• Fluent in English for communicating with the team in MTV.
