Actalent is hiring: HYBRID Technical Writer in East Syracuse

Technical Writer

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Writer with a strong background in developing clear, concise, and structured documentation for complex technology-based systems. You will collaborate with the ILS team on intricate projects to produce documentation, user manuals, operations and maintenance manuals, and quick reference guides.

Responsibilities

• Develop clear and structured documentation for complex technology systems.

• Collaborate with the ILS team on intricate projects.

• Produce user manuals, operations and maintenance manuals, and quick reference guides.

• Ensure compliance with DoD, FAA, and other regulatory standards.

• Design templates and structure documents using software such as MadCap Flare and HTML.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of relevant experience in technical writing.

• Proficiency in document control and template design software.

• Experience with Military/DOD standards.

• Technical writing experience with structured documents and regulatory documents.

• Proficiency in MS Word and PDF file creation.

• BA/BS in writing, information design, or communication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with DoD, Aerospace, or FAA programs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
