Job Summary:
We are looking for a Fall Interior Design & Staging Intern to join our team starting October. MUST be based in NYC and able to commute to Brooklyn . This is a rare opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, creative start-up environment where interiors, staging, and storytelling meet commerce. You’ll help curate and refurbish inventory, plan visually compelling “scenes” (shoptresi.com/pages/scenes) using our items for campaign photoshoots, assist on production days and set design, and oversee real estate and interior design business partnerships. You’ll have a hands-on role for the full inventory and collection process. This role is ideal for someone passionate about interiors, styling, and visual storytelling / creative direction who is excited to be part of a scrappy, design-driven vintage furniture company.
Responsibilities:
Staging & Set Design
- Assist in planning and creating furniture “scenes” () for editorial campaign photoshoots for each new drop, incorporating wardrobe collaborations with local vintage clothing stores.
- Support on shoot days with styling, staging, and setup.
Inventory & Curation
- Curate furniture and decor selections for website drops.
- Assist in refurbishing and repurposing select vintage/antique items to give them a fresh spin or a new life for our Tresi Studio Collection ()
- Assist in researching market trends and consumer buying behaviors.
Partnerships & Outreach
- Support management of business, real estate, and interior design partnerships.
- Assist in outreach to potential collaborators, including designers and developers.
- Brainstorm opportunities for brand exposure in staging and interiors.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s program in Interior Design, Architecture, Design, Marketing, or related fields.
- MUST be located in NYC and commute to Brooklyn when needed. Any remote position will not be considered.
- Strong eye for design, styling, and visual composition.
- Passion for furniture, interiors, and storytelling through space.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and efficient under tight deadlines
- Can adapt and wear many hats and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- A self-starter who thrives in creative, fast-paced and entrepreneurial environments.
- Prior experience in interior design, staging, or styling a plus (but not required).
- Photography and videography experience is a plus.
