Overview

Small Girls PR is looking for a Producer to support the Experiential service line. You’ll help us grow SGPR’s reputation as the go-to agency for exciting and out-of-the-box experiential production. This role will lead production from concept, to client sell-in, pre-production, and onsite production. This role can be based in either our NYC or LA office, with a hybrid schedule of two days in the office per week.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on experiential production with internal press and influencer marketing teams.
  • Produce programs for clients across multiple verticals, with primary focus on beauty clients; may include fashion, hospitality, tech, food & beverage, retail, and more.
  • Manage production programs independently, including client management, concepting and design, briefing and overseeing designers, fabricators and art directors, budget management and financial processes, timeline development and management, and vendor sourcing, hiring, and management. Experiences may include events such as 100-person private product previews, influencer trips, mobile trucks, press mailers, and more.
  • Serve as the primary client contact on owned projects; anticipate client needs, brainstorm live, and navigate challenging situations to build trusted relationships.
  • Work with senior production colleagues to contribute to large-scale productions, including onsite activations, vendor sourcing, permitting, and fabrication management. Experiences may include consumer pop-ups and more.
  • Furnish original experiential concepts that align with client and agency goals; develop ideas, decor, and fabrication that result in shareable moments and lasting memories.
  • Contribute to pitches and activation decks with visuals and design; 3D rendering ability is a plus and AI tools are welcome.
  • Support business development by upselling work to your client roster and assisting colleagues in cross-selling experiential work to additional clients; provide production perspective on feasibility and participate in brainstorms and client presentations.
  • Pitch new business opportunities, including initial calls, proposals, and presentations; opportunities may be standalone or integrated with the agency’s press and influencer teams.
  • Understand the agency’s service lines to recommend integrated solutions; design experiences tailored to press and influencer audiences.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experiential production experience with budget oversight (e.g., $100k) and ability to allocate client budgets for impact; comfortable working with finance teams.
  • Insight into what makes an experience enticing, shareable, and memorable.
  • Ability to collaborate with peers across specialties and discuss earned media and influencer marketing at a high level with clients.
  • Strong client-facing communication and the ability to lead client meetings and manage strategy, event logistics, and budgets.
  • Ability to mentor junior production staff and review their work.
  • Proficiency in creating decks, floor plans, mockups, and moodboards to communicate ideas; capable of independent creative work.
  • Track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and adaptability to changing client priorities.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits and event days, including occasional non-standard hours.
  • Existing relationships with preferred vendors, venues, and freelancers; willingness to source as needed.
  • Comfort with hands-on roles and physical tasks as needed to execute events (including lifting up to 50 lbs); comfortable with setup and strike logistics and overnight installs.
  • A driver’s license is a plus for occasional local transportation needs.
  • Interest in trends, communities, partnerships, and events to generate campaign ideas that connect to client initiatives.
