Job Summary


  1. Collaboration: As a copywriter you will work closely with clients, project managers, and designers. Great ideas aren’t thought of in a vacuum; you will be a critical part of bringing ideas to life in collaboration with the client and our creative teams. 
  2. Research: Behind every great copywriter is a well thought-out approach to research including interviews & secondary research. You will research and distill company-specific data points into compelling narratives that connect with the target audience and drive action.
  3. Copywriting & Persuasion: Copywriting will be your key deliverable to projects and ongoing services. You will write with our clients’ end customers in mind. While customers may want to talk mostly about themselves, you will be responsible for standing up for ideas that keep their end customers as the focus.



Job Responsibilities   


  1. Execute extensive research specific to a product or service in industry
  2. Collaborate with the marketing strategist to estimate timelines for copy execution based on project scale and technical details needed
  3. Participate in initial strategy meetings to cultivate the overall brand message for a new client
  4. Write long-format copy with storybrand insight and technical terminology
  5. Write short-format copy applied to compelling call to action PPC ads via LinkedIn and Google
  6. Review and audit copy written by strategist to check for continuity for the brand, and general quality
  7. Write some short-format copy applied to a blog posting, leveraging SEO best practices and driving action, leveraging efficiency tools like AI, and refining for effectiveness

Outcomes/Measures of Success over the next 12 months

  1. Week 1: Onboarding training & shadowing various team members to understand the entirety of the marketing delivery team. Including process overview, best practices, and roles and responsibilities breakdown among various contributors.
  2. Weeks 2-4: Gradually take on a variety of projects needed by clients, and collaborating with the marketing lead to review and edit for quality as needed. 
  3. Weeks 5-8: Continue taking over core projects by role, moving to an average cadence of one website written per week, and on average, 3-5 various smaller editing and overseeing tasks—expectation to move to full volume by week 8, while still honing quality at volume.
  4. Weeks 9-12: Monitoring quality and efficiency together with the marketing lead to ensure a smooth ramp-up period and operating at full capacity in volume and quality within the first three months.




Additional Education/Knowledge/Skills Requirements  


  1. History of satisfied clients and results-driven copywriting.
  2. Agency copywriting experience 
  3. High School Diploma/Bachelor’s Preferred
  4. Proficiency in using G-Suite, and Project management tools.
  5. Proactivity, Organization, Team Building, Coaching Skills
  6. Clear representation of skills in obtaining complex technical knowledge and distilling to simplified ads or marketing-based content.




Compensation:

Range of $75,000 - $85,000 based on skills and experiences.


Location:

This will be a hybrid role with some days in office. Must be able to commute into the office located in Indianapolis, IN or Dallas, TX.
