Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes in support of analytics and audience engagement initiatives
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of data models and warehouse structures for reporting and analysis
  • Work with tools and technologies including Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, Spark, and Airflow
  • Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Data Product Managers, and Analysts to understand requirements and deliver reliable data solutions
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure quality and maintainability of data solutions
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues to ensure performance and reliability
  • Support data governance and data quality initiatives through documentation and validation

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role working with large-scale data systems
  • Proficient in SQL for data extraction and transformation
  • Experience with one or more distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hive, Presto)
  • Solid programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java
  • Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
  • Exposure to data pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow or similar
  • Understanding of basic data modeling principles and warehouse design
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in Agile teams and adapting to changing priorities

Education

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience

Preferred Education

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field

Compensation

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $104,600.00 - $140,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate\'s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
