Job Summary

This is a 19.5 hour per week maximum, part-time student position. This position requires employees who are able to positively represent the Office and the College to various internal and external constituents with a positive and professional demeanor at all times. The student employee must have effective writing, verbal communication, and Microsoft Office skills. Student employees must have a high level of integrity as they may come into contact with confidential information. The student may serve as the first point of contact for the office, perform clerical duties, run errands on campus, and assist with special projects and other duties as assigned. The weekly schedule will be assigned by the supervisor in conjunction with the student’s class schedule. The work schedule is subject to change between semesters or as needed. Students are not to work during scheduled class time, even if class is cancelled or dismissed early.

Responsibilities

  • Perform customer service and technical duties as assigned
  • Frequently carry heavy equipment around campus, weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Run errands as specified by supervisor
  • Assist with Audio Visual special projects
  • Perform clerical duties as needed for Audio Visual
  • Perform related work as required
  • May need to drive a campus golf cart to carry equipment

Required Qualifications

  • Educational Requirements: Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at all times
  • Other Required Qualifications: May not be employed in more than one job at a time on campus
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check
  • Valid driver’s license to drive a campus golf cart

Salary

Proposed Salary: $9.00 per hour
