Overview

Our goal: Treat our consultants and clients the way we would like others to treat us. The Social Content Creator, Organic and Paid, exists to bring brand storytelling to life through compelling visual content across Meta platforms. This contract role requires a deep understanding of social platforms and their creative formats to create original, engaging and high-quality content that raises the bar for the client brand in the social space. The role turns content ideas into videos, images, infographics and text captions that are attention grabbing, fresh, and align with our brand voice. Working closely with the social, media and creative teams, this content creator ensures briefs are accurately translated into high-performing assets and iterated as needed to meet performance goals.

Location: Denton, TX, until the client moves to a new office in Plano, TX.

% of Primary Duties: 60% – Organic Social Content Creation

  • Researches and identifies insights, trends, and opportunities to elevate social content
  • Creates various forms of social media content—videos, images, and text captions—suitable for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube
  • Contributes to the creative ideation, content capture, and editing of brand activations to keep the brand at the forefront of pop culture
  • Develops and creates big ideas to create viral moments
  • Partners with the organic social and engagement team to review and support social series content, ensuring campaign messaging is clear, consistent, and aligns with brand objectives
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for broader amplification of key content across channels
  • Supports the development and execution of organic social content that aligns with brand voice and visual standards across all platforms
  • Works closely with internal creative and social teams to ensure cohesive storytelling and drive engagement through community-first content

30% – Paid Social Media Support

  • Interprets campaign goals and partners closely with the paid media agency to bring content to life that aligns with business objectives and channel performance needs (channels include Meta, TikTok and Google)
  • Supports the creative development process by reviewing briefs, providing strategic input, and ensuring content aligns with initiatives and annual operating plans
  • Reviews organic influencer content and identifies high-performing assets for paid amplification, providing guidance on optimization opportunities
  • Evaluates upcoming campaign initiatives and makes recommendations on which assets to support vs. where new content may be needed
  • Edits existing static and video content as needed to meet platform specs or update messaging
  • Manages multiple creative versions to support A/B testing and ensure performance-driven outcomes
  • Responds quickly to content or format changes, ensuring speed and flexibility within fast-paced retail campaign cycles

10% – Marketing Analysis & Cross-Channel Collaboration

  • Participates in campaign performance reviews, incorporating learnings from MMM (mixed media modeling) reports and marketing analysis to inform creative direction
  • Works with internal teams and stakeholders to align on design strategy, objectives, and upcoming needs
  • Maintains brand guidelines across all creative, ensuring visual consistency and integrity across both organic and paid efforts

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • 2-4 years of professional experience in a social content role, creating content for organic and paid media, ideally within a retail, beauty, or distributor environment—agency or DTC experience also valued
  • BA/BS in Graphic Design, Video Production, Digital Media, Visual Communication or a related creative field
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and Canva)
  • Video editing capabilities, particularly short-form content optimized for social media; motion graphics experience is a plus
  • Compelling online portfolio demonstrating creative versatility, conceptual thinking and superb design execution
  • A deep understanding of social platforms and their creative formats
  • Experience taking a moment in culture and reacting quickly to create a social activation
  • Extreme attention to detail, understanding of design principles, and the creative process
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to respond professionally to creative direction and constructive feedback
  • Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changing
  • Hands-on experience from concepting to production, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved in the execution of multiple projects
  • Deep understanding of Meta (Facebook, Instagram) ad platforms and creative best practices for retail and beauty audiences
  • Passion for the beauty industry, social media culture, stylist community, and emerging creative tech
  • Self-motivated with high standards for visual quality, time management, and brand consistency
  • Demonstrated experience creating compelling visual content for beauty, lifestyle, or stylist-focused brands, with an understanding of what resonates in the professional beauty space
  • Proven experience with A/B testing and optimizing for conversion and engagement
  • Strong communication skills — clear, collaborative, and comfortable working across creative, marketing, and merchandising teams
