Overview

Our Site Design team provides multidisciplinary, preliminary, and construction design services for mixed-use, commercial, and residential land development projects, along with industrial, sports, schools, and other site development types. As a Design Technician on the Site Design team, you will prepare planning and design documents, and process design calculations. You will work independently on these designs with occasional guidance from your supervisor. You may direct the efforts of less experienced staff and may attend client meetings or handle construction observation as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with basic computer-aided design operations including annotation, red line corrections, and plan publishing.
  • Uses design software to draft plans or incorporate information from past, current, and ongoing projects into models.
  • Performs engineering support tasks such as gathering data, updating and maintaining computer files, preparing copies of drawings, and documenting design changes.
  • Adds basic content to project production sheets including dimension/layout plans, title sheets, and detail sheets.
  • Receives initial instruction or guidance from a supervisor or project manager as work is subject to supervisor approval.
  • May be required to work in all types of terrain and weather conditions and on project sites in various stages of construction.

You Bring To The Team:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
  • Associate degree in drafting.
  • Prior drafting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D software is preferred.
