Responsibilities
- Produce and oversee recurring multimedia products (video series, podcasts, live event capture).
- Extend existing podcasts into video/vodcast formats.
- Systems & Capacity
- Build playbooks, templates, and workflows that make it easy for editors and marketers to contribute multimedia content.
- Train reporters, editors, and marketers in basic video, audio, and on-camera storytelling.
- Foster a culture where multimedia is embedded in every story and event.
- Distribution & Growth
- Partner across departments to optimize content for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and newsletters.
- Track performance metrics, refine approach, and grow multimedia reach and engagement.
- Events & Live
- Capture highlight reels, livestreams, and social snippets for major events (e.g., Business 500, Supper Club, Playdates).
- Integrate live podcasts and vodcasts into the event strategy.
- Revenue Enablement
- Collaborate with Sales to develop sponsor-ready multimedia packages.
- Build case studies and “sizzle reels” to support advertiser conversations.
- Contribute to Year One revenue goals in a meaningful way.
- Infrastructure
- Lead development of new podcast/vodcast studio expansion in the office.
- Build and manage a freelance network for video, editing, and motion design support.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years experience in multimedia production (newsroom, agency, or digital brand).
- Strong portfolio of video/audio projects that grew audiences and built brand impact.
- Skilled at both hands-on production (shooting, editing, distribution) and building systems for scale.
- Experience training and coaching non-specialists in multimedia and collaborating across departments.
- Understanding of digital distribution and analytics (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, podcast platforms).
- Entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable building something new in a fast-moving, mid-sized organization.
- Bonus: Familiarity with the St. Louis community or regional storytelling.
