Harrah's Cherokee Valley River is hiring: Ticket Writer (PT) in Westlake

Caesars Sportsbook & Casino has openings for a Sportsbook Ticket Writer at the Horseshoe Lake Charles Casino in Westlake, LA. Reporting to the Sportsbook Manager, you will be the face of our retail operation, providing a high level of customer service to both regulars and novice bettors and helping customers make informed, responsible wagers.

What You Will Do

• Provide a top-tier level of customer service that encourages customers to come back repeatedly
• Adhere to all company rules and regulations and DGE requirements
• Become familiar with our betting options and discuss them with customers
• Resolve customer disputes/complaints and escalate to the direct supervisor when needed
• Be a positive team member and collaborate with other team members and leadership
• Ensure all necessary paperwork/documentation is completed according to company policy and DGE standards
• Other duties as assigned

What You Will Need

• Basic computer knowledge (email, MS Excel, internet, etc.)
• Minimum of 1 year of cash handling experience in a work setting
• H.S. Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
• 21+ years of age or older
• Successfully pass a drug screen and background check
• Able to obtain a gaming license from the Department of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) and other jurisdictions where deemed necessary
• High level of customer service
• Ability to work a flexible schedule: nights, weekends, and some holidays is preferred
• Present yourself in a professional manner
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to do simple math
• Understanding and adherence to all company and Gaming Control Board compliance requirements

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand for extended periods
• Must be able to lift, pull or push 25 lbs
• Must be able to write for extended periods
• Must be able to twist, bend or reach with no significant limitations
• This position may be exposed to a smoke-filled environment
