Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

Bloomberg TV is looking for an experienced coordinating producer to join our political video team in our Washington bureau. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of our daily live news programming and coverage planning. Tasks include working closely with executive and senior producers to guide the team on coverage plans, supporting the on-air talent, keeping the show on the core stories for the audience, updating scripts on breaking news, and more. The coordinating producer is expected to join the team in the control room for our flagship politics program at 5pm daily and help contribute to the rundown, scripts and copy editing. Candidates should have a solid knowledge of politics, markets and finance and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Be a self-starter, with a can-do attitude and an understanding of our programming.
- Have strong news judgment to select the politics, markets and finance stories important to our clients.
- Extensive experience covering breaking news in the field and in the control room.
- Maintain solid relationships and source contacts in the political world, with a strong pulse of the newsroom and the city.
- Have a keen eye for video and graphics elements.
- Write and copy edit scripts and rundown elements.
- Work with our news colleagues to flag and pitch headlines or stories from show guests.
- Partner with desk producer to flag relevant DC coverage opportunities (key events).
- Be flexible with working hours to accommodate production schedules.
- Help coordinate multi-platform collaboration on reporter requests.
- Work with the executive producer on big-picture planning (elections, summits, SOTU, etc.).
- Be a team player.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience producing for live TV.
- Experience in a live news/production/control room environment.
- Strong editorial, storytelling and communication skills.
- Social media experience preferred.
- Knowledge of markets.
- Flexibility with hours as needed.
- A background in journalism.

Salary Range = 90,000 - 130,000 USD annually + Benefits + Bonus. The referenced salary range is based on the Company\'s good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
