Salary Range

  • $60,000 - $70,000

Job Summary

The Social Media Specialist plays a key role in shaping and executing Chosen Foods’ social media strategy, overseeing how the brand shows up across platforms to build culture, community, and consumer love. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker who lives and breathes social, understands what drives engagement, and knows how to turn insights and trends into impactful, brand-right content. You’ll own the full social plan — from strategy and content calendars to execution and performance — ensuring that Chosen Foods consistently delivers timely, creative, and culturally relevant content that connects with consumers and drives results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the overarching social media strategy and content calendar across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging channels.
  • Lead concepting and production of social-first content (video, photo, copy), collaborating with internal teams, agencies, and creators.
  • Monitor cultural trends, creator communities, and internet moments to translate insights into timely brand campaigns and posts.
  • Collaborate with the team on day-to-day community management, ensuring brand-right engagement in DMs, comments, and partnerships.
  • Analyze and report on content performance, providing insights and recommendations to optimize engagement and reach.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative, and Shopper teams to amplify campaigns and drive cohesive brand storytelling.
  • Maintain and evolve the Chosen Foods brand voice across all social platforms, balancing consistency with creativity.
  • Stay ahead of platform updates, algorithm shifts, and best practices to continually elevate the brand’s presence.

Professional Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience managing social media for a brand, agency, or publisher.
  • Deep knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, and other emerging platforms, with proven success in growing engagement and community.
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with hands-on creative execution skills (copywriting, short-form video, visual direction).
  • Comfortable directing shoots (and being in them!) and working with creators to produce high-quality, platform-native content.
  • Experience filming UGC style content is a plus
  • Proficiency with social creation/editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Canva, Adobe Suite) and social management/analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to be playful, witty, and clear in captions and replies.
  • Highly organized, collaborative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, trend-driven environment.
  • A finger on the pulse of internet culture, with an instinct for translating cultural moments into brand-right opportunities.
  • Passion for social media, pop culture, and storytelling through content
  • Experience with boosting or promoting content (paid social amplification) is a plus
  • Confident using TikTok, Instagram Reels, and social creation/editing tools like CapCut, Canva, or InShot

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Work is performed inside a temperature-controlled office building with an open floor plan. This job operates in a professional office environment with a business casual dress code. This role will routinely utilize standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and other office machines. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
