Responsibilities

  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code using best practices and design patterns.
  • Manage and maintain the Angular component library, ensuring components are reusable, well-documented, and aligned with design specifications.
  • Strategic thinking — identify a vision and create plans to meet end goals, evaluating situations, decisions, and issues in the short, medium, and long term.
  • Analytical thinking — simplify complex problems, processes, or projects into component parts and evaluate them systematically.
  • Collaborate with business partners, product owners, architecture, security, and IT engineering teams to understand requirements and design specifications.
  • Conduct research on emerging technologies, design principles, and development frameworks to keep software solutions current and future-proof.
  • Provide technical guidance in software design and development activities.
  • Design and implement complex software solutions for APIs, microservices, CI/CD, real-time streaming pipelines, etc., on the cloud.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of technology delivery experience in designing, developing, and deploying production-ready systems.
  • 4+ years of experience specifically with Angular, with a focus on recent projects using Angular 16+.
  • Solid knowledge of state management, reactive programming, change detection, and core Angular concepts.
  • Experience with micro-frontend architecture is a plus.
  • Very strong knowledge of TypeScript concepts.
  • 5+ years of experience working on Azure or GCP cloud applications/services.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in designing and building software applications with expertise in Java, Python, FastAPI, Go, relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Azure SQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB or Cosmos DB), messaging systems like Apache Kafka or MQ, and container orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes and Docker.
  • 3+ years of experience leading software development projects, including goal setting, progress monitoring, milestone tracking, stakeholder communication, and mentoring junior developers.
  • In-depth understanding of APIs and microservices-based architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Health care industry domain knowledge.
  • Experience with enterprise development tools and methodologies (XP, Agile), including DevSecOps and DataOps.
  • Experience integrating with legacy mainframe/mid-range AS/400 applications and developing roadmaps for modernization.

Education

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field required.

Pay Range

The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $118,450.00 - $260,590.00. This pay range represents the base salary for all positions in the job grade. The actual offer depends on experience, education, geography, and other factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program, in addition to base pay, and includes an award target in the company’s equity program.
