Overview

Senior Counsel, Content & Distribution Acquisition and Sales Global Media & Streaming Company, New York. The role focuses on deals related to content sales, distribution and acquisitions for services across the Americas, and advises on related legal matters including intellectual property rights and day-to-day business and legal affairs matters. The position supports cross-functional collaboration across multiple business units and territories and reports to the Senior Director, BLA, in New York.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on deals related to content sales, distribution and acquisitions for services across the Americas.
  • Provide guidance on intellectual property rights and other day-to-day business and legal affairs matters as needed.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration and a coordinated approach to deals and agreements across sales, finance, operations and marketing teams and across territories.
  • Work from New York and report to the Senior Director, BLA, in NY.

Qualifications
  • JD degree and membership of NY Bar and/or CA Bar.
  • 5+ years of relevant deals experience on the content distribution and acquisition side, gained at a television or multimedia distribution company, network and/or entertainment law firm; US-qualified candidates only.
  • Solid understanding of the entertainment industry and deal terms, including digital rights and experience with digital consumer subscription services and streaming.

Compensation

The anticipated annual base salary is $165,000 to $190,000. This range does not include bonus or other benefits, including flexible, hybrid working (in-office Tuesdays and Wednesdays), 100% covered medical & dental insurance, vision, and 401k match. Actual base salary depends on qualifications, experience, skills, education, and licenses.
