Role Overview
Our client is seeking a talented Intermediate Designer with 37 years experience to work on high-end Interior Design projects within the Restaurant and Hospitality sectors. This role requires a well-rounded designer with both ID and FF&E expertise, capable of delivering creative, functional, and detail-oriented design solutions. The successful candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate and manage multiple aspects of the design process.
Responsibilities
- Deliver creative and high-quality design solutions for Hospitality and Restaurant projects.
- Produce and develop design documentation including AutoCAD drawings, specifications, schedules, and detailing packages.
- Lead FF&E design, selection, and scheduling, ensuring accuracy and cohesion across projects.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Photoshop, SketchUp, and InDesign to support design presentations.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of US building regulations, construction technology, joinery, and detailing.
- Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project coordination and execution.
- Contribute to client presentations and confidently represent the studio externally.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail across all project deliverables.
Qualifications
- 36 years experience in Interior Design, ideally within hospitality or restaurant projects.
- Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD with strong working knowledge of Photoshop, SketchUp, and InDesign.
- Strong technical expertise in FF&E, joinery, and detailing.
- Confidence in hand sketching and presenting design ideas.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing accurate design documentation and schedules.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
