Design Manager

Design Manager Bozeman, MTA growing luxury and design company in Bozeman, MT is seeking a Design Manager to join the team. This company works on custom design projects including fireplaces, elevators, and cabinets for their high-end clientele. As a Design Manager, you'll be instrumental in managing a team of designers, scheduling, reviewing shop drawings and developing standard operating procedures for the department. Time will be split between management and designing unique architectural metal and wood installations. Your work will be central to our production workflow, enabling you to see your innovative designs through from concept to fabrication.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Report directly to the VP of Sales daily
• Manage the schedule of the design team, on-time submission and designing within the scope, budget and allotted time for each project
• Develop and enforce SOP's, conduct regular meetings and perform regular training
• Monitor and enforce KPI's and report them weekly to the VP of Sales
• Review and approve shop and fabrication drawings for the team
• Develop detailed architectural designs and technical drawings using SolidWorks
• Collaborate with our design and production teams to ensure designs meet both aesthetic and technical standards
• Oversee the design process from initial drafting through final fabrication
• Adapt designs based on feedback and evolving project requirements

Qualifications:

• Experience in a management position
• Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential
• Experience with high-end architectural elements and installations is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Varied design experience is acceptable if there is a strong understanding of the relevant software
