BASIC FUNCTION
Under the primary direction of the Director of Enterprise Applications, the Systems Analyst & Web Developer is responsible for maintenance and configuration of integrations, as well as supporting connected enterprise web-based applications to improve business functions. This position analyzes systems and business processes to recommend and develop business processes and integrations to improve organizational effectiveness. The Systems Analyst & Web Developer is also responsible for supporting enterprise and departmental web-based applications to improve business functions.

Minimum qualifications
This position may be based on any of the Vermont State College's campuses or centers. Partial work from home is possible.
Typically, this position is scheduled for 40 hours weekly. The budgeted salary for this position is $75,000 annually.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support development and maintenance of web-based forms and integrations including development, training, and documentation.
- Work with internal and external constituents to define requirements and processes related to integration development and related documentation.
- Design, develop, and configure integrations in support of business processes connected to the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and other connected systems.
- Assist with the data mapping, data validation and deployment activities of each integration.
- Serve as IT contact for third-party vendors to coordinate technical configuration and testing of integrations.
- Lead testing of configured and developed integrations.
- Maintain established integrations.
- Provide maintenance support for developed custom web applications.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality issues related to integrations and web-based applications. Provide technical support for business processes and reports that incorporate integrations.
- Provide technical support for database programming and web development.
- Routinely work with confidential and sensitive HR, Finance, and Student data in support of business processes and system integration.
- Provide technical support for database programming and web development.
- Provide technical support for applications using JS, CSS, HTML and Cold Fusion.
- Tier 2 troubleshooting and end-user support for enterprise and web-based applications.
- Maintain WP Engine hosting platform to ensure an up-to-date and optimized environment for hosted websites.
- Provide training and create documentation for end-users to help them effectively use applications.
- Work closely with others throughout all IT service areas and functional areas of the institutions to implement, maintain and support solutions that have a high degree of quality and meet institutional and system needs.

Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field and at least three (3) years of experience in program analysis or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
- Two (2) years of experience using APIs to integrate systems.
- Two (2) years of experience developing integrations using JavaScript, XML, and XSLT.
- Strong understanding of web technologies, APIs, and troubleshooting techniques
- Solid web design skills with two (2) years of work experience in UI/UX. Thorough understanding of online user behavior.
- Solid developer skills with two (2) years of experience writing clean HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including jQuery), and PHP. Understanding of progressive enhancement and mobile-first responsive design.
- Experience administering and configuring enterprise environments.
- Previous experience in a technical support role.
- Understanding of HR, Payroll, Finance, Student processes in a Higher Education environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in project management, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to create effective documentation.
- Experience in taking complex digital projects from conception to deployment.
- Ability to work as part of a team and to maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders in a diverse community.
- Experience working with systems containing sensitive data.
