In your new role, you will:

• Be the lead for Platform Architecture Communication, Network, and Interfaces (CNI) components

• Define the architectural CNI components, their interoperability internal architecture of each component

• Collaborate with software teams to secure the correct software/hardware split for architectural components

• Take care of predevelopment on the platform level to ensure implementation ability and correct trade-off between performance and cost

• Be responsible for deriving all information for IP handling from the platform and overseeing the platform IP roadmap, including make vs. buy decisions for IP

• Be responsible for the definition of the architectural CNI component requirements and platform specification for each architectural component

• Be in charge that power, performance, and area targets are met and ensure the best-cost-feature split for the products

• Break down stakeholder requirements and application assumptions into block-based requirements for architectural compute components

As a Director Communication, Network, and Interfaces, you commit yourself to the results of your own team and the company as a whole. Furthermore, you remain aware of the big picture even in complex situations and make decisions despite uncertain circumstances. You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A degree in electrical engineering, physics, or a similar field

• At least 8 years of experience in R&D management and development

• Knowledge in microcontroller architectures, microprocessor architecture, digital design, and verification

• Excellent knowledge of the automotive IP market, vendors, including management of contracts, budgeting, and negotiation

• Strong experience in multi-cultural environments

• Experience in people management and team development

• High level of analytical skills required, must be able to consolidate various diverging requests on time, quality, and cost into a product roadmap
