Bon Appetit Management Company is a restaurant company that operates in contract food service. Based at Cargo Hall, the signature dining venue on campus, this role offers the opportunity to work in a mission-driven, higher education setting with balanced schedules, creative menu development, and meaningful engagement with a vibrant campus community. As Executive Sous Chef, you will support the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations while ensuring a safe, clean, and sanitary environment. You will lead food preparation and execution in alignment with corporate standards and culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate kitchen staff in daily food preparation and service
• Ensure high-quality, cost-effective food is creatively prepared and presented
• Assist with planning, ordering, inventory management, and food production
• Help manage food and labor costs to meet account targets
• Launch new culinary initiatives in partnership with marketing and culinary teams
• Supervise kitchen staff to maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• B.S. or A.O.S. degree in Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, or related field
• 3-5 years of relevant culinary leadership experience
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Proficient in food costing, product quality, and kitchen operations
• Up-to-date on culinary trends, food safety, sanitation, and cost control practices
