Visual Journalist Job at Lee Enterprises Inc in Winona

Overview

The River Valley Media Group, a division of Lee Enterprises, is seeking a collaborative and energetic visual journalist to join our award-winning newsrooms.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional photo and video skills and a passion for visual storytelling. We are looking for a creative thinker who will work with our talented team of editors, reporters and others to elevate our journalism and expand our audience reach. Experience with photojournalism and sports photography, videography, drone photography, live-streaming video and multimedia journalism are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality photo and video content and contribute to multimedia journalism across platforms.
• Collaborate with editors, reporters and other team members to elevate storytelling and reach broader audiences.
• Utilize photography and videography tools, including drone photography and live streaming, to cover events and stories.
• Support editorial goals in a fast-paced newsroom environment, including occasional night, weekend and holiday work.

Qualifications

• Experience with photojournalism and sports photography, videography, drone photography, live-streaming video and multimedia journalism.
• Strong visual storytelling skills and ability to think creatively.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work with editors and reporters.

Location

This position can be based in the River Valley Media Group\'s La Crosse, Wisconsin or Winona, Minnesota offices and includes work in both communities.

Schedule

This position includes some night, weekend and holiday work.

Pre-employment
