About Smart Infrastructure – Electrification and Automation

The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids today while investing in Future Grids and related applications to shape the grid of the future. The EA Business Unit in Wendell, NC focuses on photovoltaic inverters, medium-voltage power distribution equipment, packaging and services, and solutions including automation.

Responsibilities

You’ll make an impact by:

• Project Development Expertise: Work in cross-functional teams to overcome silo thinking, leveraging internal and external networks and ecosystems.
• Customer value: Apply early customer validation in rapid learn-build-test cycles of business tools, processes and systems.
• Trend scouting: Evaluate white space innovation ideas for future business potential.
• Digitalization opportunities: Ideate around digitally enhanced products enabling cloud-based Integrated Operations & Services, data analytics for preventive maintenance, digital twin & simulation to improve R&D efficiency, and digital services integrating third-party platforms.
• Co-creation: Collaborate with sales, R&D, Product Management and customers focusing on customer experience and sales channel development.
• Technical expertise: Maintain knowledge of new digitalization products, tools and systems; stay aware of industry trends and their impact on designs.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure digital solutions meet quality, scalability and performance requirements for end users.
• Industry knowledge: Apply MV & LV equipment, PV, energy storage, protection and control systems, cloud infrastructure and architectures.

• Customer Engagement: Pre-Sales support during solution presentations; post-Sales turnover to implementation and service teams.

• Stakeholder Communication: Provide executive updates on digital solution initiatives, progress and challenges; identify and mitigate risks related to delivery.

Qualifications

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 5–7 years in a similar role in digital business development or related fields, with preferred experience in projects involving data centers, utility systems, industrial/construction applications, photovoltaic, energy storage or technology combinations.
• Leadership: Demonstrated leadership, communication and decision-making abilities.
• Software/Application Knowledge: SieOps (Salesforce), Autodesk, Microsoft Office, MS Teams, Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI, Power Automate.
• Business Acumen: Ability to align technical solutions with business goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Power Apps development (canvas & model-driven), Power Automate workflows, Power BI reports.
• Power FX, DAX, M (Power Query) and Power Automate expressions.
• Dataverse, SQL, SharePoint as data sources; custom connectors and third-party API integration.
• UI/UX best practices for Power Apps; analytical skills to translate business needs into automated, data-driven solutions.
• Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps or REST APIs; CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform deployments.
• Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g., PL-100, PL-300, PL-400).
• Experience with embedded Power BI in Power Apps or other applications.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range is $82,320 - $141,120 annually. Benefits vary and are described by Siemens.
