PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Video Communications Administrator provides operational and technical support for the video collaboration service line, telehealth technologies and digital media platforms. The VC Administrator will work closely with the Collaboration team members on the video service line and solution implementations.

PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Video Communications Administrator provides operational and technical support for the video collaboration service line, telehealth technologies and digital media platforms. The VC Administrator will work closely with the Collaboration team members on the video service line and solution implementations.
Major Responsibilities
- Coordinate and assist with video conference activities utilizing the appropriate collaboration tools and services. Assist with setup and operation of video conferencing systems, as well as provide onsite or remote support for video conferences and events.
- Provide operational and technical support for all video conferences and applications including AV control systems and digital media platforms. Quickly identify system failures and escalate to the appropriate teams/team members for swift resolution.
- Leads root-cause analysis of technical issues to achieve timely resolution of trouble tickets. Follows up with users to ensure problem resolution and develops supporting documentation of all activities.
- Perform various system upgrades and preventative maintenance tasks. Promote and increase the adoption of Video Communications offerings by monitoring trends and analytics.
- Maintains a thorough inventory of AV equipment and coordinates the repair and replacement of non-working, damaged and/or obsolete equipment.
- Updates and recommends processes and procedure changes to better assist team members utilizing the video conference service.
- Work directly with vendors contracted to support the video conference service line.
- Manages the implementation and maintenance of databases and directories associated with video conference services for existing and new users. May install or assist vendors with the installation and maintenance of software and hardware systems related to UC technologies.
- Provide support that falls outside of scope when requested and as needed.
- Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organizations Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to the organization.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- In depth working knowledge of underlying IT technology associated with programs. Skill set to include: software administration, server/data base skills and knowledge of router LAN/ WAN and telephony architecture.
- Must be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) or similar products.
- Basic knowledge and practical application of video conferencing technologies and protocols.
- (H.320, H323, H.264, SIP and TIP, etc.)
- Working experience with major videoconferencing equipment such as: Codecs from Cisco, Tandberg, Polycom, Lifesize, Vidyo etc.
- Basic knowledge of MCU and control systems from Cisco, Polycom, etc.
- ISDN Network Infrastructure and Implementation (BRI and T1) H.323 Endpoints, Gateways, MCU's, and Gatekeepers.
- Experience in Audio Visual Solutions including: Videoconferencing, Multimedia, Distance Learning,
- Facility coordination or Networking systems preferred.
- Ability to test, troubleshoot and work independently to resolve both customer and executive management conferencing issues or problems with exceptional customer service skills.
- Basic networking understanding and skills including firewall and QoS compliance with video standards.
