Job Summary:

We are seeking Publicists to work on our Publicity Team! Our Publicity Team is responsible for increasing Global brand awareness for two Non-Profit Organizations: Planned Acts of Kindness and One Planet One People as well as promoting our deliverables: Books, courses, campaigns, events, programs, and initiatives. Publicists will have the opportunity to focus on Branding or specific programs such as: The ONE Book: The Fight for the Survival of the Human Race; The Work/Life Balance Collaborative (HR/Management Course that applies CSR to HR/PR & ROI); Education for Quality of Life (Bringing Planned Acts of Kindness into the schools for children 4-18); The Great Pizza Peace Plan (Partnering with Pizza Companies globally to deliver Kindness Recognition & Rewards); Project KOPE (A Health, Happiness & Wellness Program for individuals and institutions from 1-1,000,000); and many more.

Responsibilities:

Develop creative ways to keep Organizations and Programs in the news

Find timely headlines, identify the right media markets and contacts, and pitch in a timely manner Cultivate and maintain media relationships

Create and execute publicity plans and ongoing media support, including book launches, campaigns, major initiatives and interviews

Write press releases and quotes for media, being well-versed in the Founder’s content and voice

Coordinate with internal team members and external media contacts to direct seamless interviews from start to finish Create media lists and strategies for Company campaigns

Requirements:

3-5 years of on-the-job experience in PR, publicity or a related field

You’re passionate about the world of PR-that means you think in terms of the news cycle and you’re interested in all types of media (broadcast, print, podcast, radio and online)

You have personally researched media outlets and contacts, written a pitch, made a pitch, successfully procured media, and cultivated the relationship from start to finish by yourself (not just worked on a team or supervised a team that did all the pieces of the process)

You’re great at working with people, and you’re highly collaborative

You’re able to multitask and prioritize assignments while maintaining flexibility in a fast-paced environment

You’re professional and confident when interacting in person, in writing and on the phone with people you haven’t met

You’re an excellent writer with experience using AP style

Degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing or another related field
