Job Summary
A Product Designer is needed for a multinational corporation that is involved in the design, development, manufacturing, and worldwide marketing and sales of athletic apparel, equipment, accessories, and services in the Beaverton, OR area. Responsibilities
Design innovative women's training footwear balancing style and performance. Collaborate across development, engineering, marketing, testing, and design functions. Present designs in formal and informal reviews throughout project development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, research, science, marketing, testing, sustainability, materials, costing). Work with various design groups (product, materials, color, graphics, computational). Report to the Senior Design Director and align with functional leaders across the organization.
Skills
Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator. Able to build accurate 2D technical drawings (tech packs). strong sketching, rendering, and illustration skills. Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials. Cobbling/prototyping and 3D design experience is a plus. Knowledge of sustainable design/manufacturing is a plus. Experienced with presentation tools (Keynote, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.).
Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or equivalent experience/training.
