We need someone with Creo experience for this position. The
Sr. Designer
will support various program initiatives and be responsible for creating innovative and practical mechanical and electro-mechanical concepts and designs for components, assemblies, tools, and products of varying complexity. Key responsibilities include: Collaborating closely with engineering, vendors, manufacturing, quality, and customers to define and meet design specifications. Ensuring designs are free of layout and process defects. Applying Computer-Aided Design (CAD) methodologies, theories, and techniques. Reviewing engineering documents for compliance with military and engineering standards, specifications, procedures, and dimensional accuracy. Providing expert technical consultation across the division and to customer stakeholders. Developing highly innovative design concepts for both new product development and existing product enhancements. Preparing detailed design layouts, schematics, and sketches, including test plans and specifications. Producing drawing packages in accordance with military or ASME standards. Checking completed design documentation (layouts, test plans, procedures, change history) for clarity, completeness, and conformance to all applicable standards. Coordinating with systems engineers to ensure all designs meet contractual requirements. Evaluating the manufacturability and integration viability of designs, including tolerance, fit, finish, materials, and engineering specifications. Skills Required
Proficiency in tolerance analysis and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Advanced CAD skills, including 3D modeling and file manipulation. In-depth knowledge of military drawings and specifications, including MILSPEC and MIL-STD. Strong understanding of production methods and human factors. Comprehensive understanding of product design from component to system level. Experience with
Creo 9
CAD software is
required . Knowledge of
Model-Based Definition (MBD)
is a
strong plus . Experience Required
Minimum
9 years
of design/drafting experience using
Pro-E/Creo
CAD systems. Education Required
Associate Degree with an emphasis in engineering drafting/design,
or
an equivalent combination of training and experience. Minimum of
9 years
of total drafting and design experience, including
5 years
in advanced design concepts and applications.
