Volunteer Public Relations Intern/Volunteer Job at Children Across America in Mi

Are you experienced in sales, customer service, or looking to improve your communication skills while building relationships with our local community? Are you passionate about helping underprivileged children get the best education and healthcare possible? Put your skill set to work and help us give every child the tools they need to be the best they can be!

Children Across America is currently seeking reliable, and energetic volunteers to communicate with local businesses in support of our community outreach campaign. The goal is to expand our local relationships within the community. You will be working with the director of public relations/marketing to reach out to local businesses to educate them on our presence in the community, what we offer, and what our goals are. Training is available, and this role does not require management level experience or knowledge. You will not be soliciting donations or communicating with donors.

Ideal volunteers comes with a passion to help children, and work with our Board of Directors to drive the growth of the organization while continuing to fulfill our mission to children's education and literacy. Preferred experience or skill in communicating with the public, sales experience is preferred, making phone calls, organizing information and follow-ups. The expected commitment to this role is 5 hours per week.
