Qualitative UX Researcher — The Planet Group is looking for a Qualitative UX Researcher to join our lifestyle brand technology client on a 12-month contract. This is a full-time, remote role (40 hours/week).

Location: Remote
Duration: 12 Months
Pay: ~$75/hr, DOE

Qualitative UX Researcher Responsibilities

  • Tackle high priority projects across teams working on search journeys
  • Conduct qualitative research that varies in approach, scale, scope, timeframe and methodologies (e.g., concept testing, usability testing, in-depth interviews, or diary studies)
  • Scope and define research studies with guidance from other researchers and in alignment with cross-functional partners (product management, design, engineering, and data science)
  • Execute research projects from beginning to end (construct a research plan, recruit participants, gather data, synthesize learnings, and socialize insights)
  • Proactively share research findings and recommendations with product teams and other audiences in compelling, actionable, and engaging ways

Qualitative UX Researcher Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience designing and conducting end-to-end product research at a consumer-facing tech company
  • Experience with conducting evaluative and tactical research
  • Comfortable running research sessions with design prototypes (e.g., via Figma)
  • Strong ability to tie research insights to actionable and specific product implications
  • Excellent communication, storytelling/narrative building, and presentation skills
  • Collaborative approach to research and ability to bring stakeholders along for the process
  • Ability to operate in a fast-moving environment and ramp up to a new product area
