Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina is seeking a strategic and driven Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the commercial vision for this iconic property along the Intracoastal Waterway. Ideally located near the beach, downtown, and Port Everglades, the hotel is a hub for group, business, leisure, and cruise travel. This role offers a unique opportunity for a sales leader to make a significant impact in a high-profile market. As the Director of Sales & Marketing , you will oversee the hotel's commercial strategies, aiming to improve asset performance by aligning strategy with business processes.
Hilton’s Commercial Services organization includes sales, revenue, marketing, catering, events management, call centers, and analytics teams, forming Hilton’s core “commercial engine” for profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy innovative business strategies for the Americas, leading the Hotel Sales and Marketing process.
- Move analytics and processes towards a predictive and prescriptive approach to enhance performance.
- Develop and communicate commercial strategies through structured cadences and performance analysis.
- Facilitate the delivery of the Americas Commercial Operating Model, demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills.
- Create the hotel’s Annual Multi-Year Commercial Strategy Plan collaboratively with on-property leaders and regional support.
- Align hotel performance needs with Hilton enterprise solutions across key segments.
- Set strategy and oversee delivery of revenues from group rooms, banquets, catering, business transient, and leisure transient.
- Ensure pricing strategies are optimized to maximize revenue and market share.
- Support hotel B2B marketing, digital marketing, social media, and public relations activities.
- Establish business mix strategies, review revenue forecasts, and develop demand period strategies.
- Work with leadership to maximize profits in line with GOP and EBITDA targets.
- Develop departmental budgets and forecasts.
- Maintain real-time knowledge of market and competitor activities.
- Execute the Sales and Catering Sales SIP (Sales Incentive Program).
Leadership:
- Lead regular Sales & Marketing optimization processes and translate outcomes into actionable strategies.
- Contribute to the Commercial Cadence communication on performance metrics and drivers.
- Ensure brand standards and corporate identity are maintained.
- Recruit, retain, and develop sales and marketing team members, conducting performance reviews and career development planning.
- Promote Hilton’s DEI and ESG goals within the team.
Ownership, Customer, and Stakeholder Relations:
- Own performance reporting and communicate results to key partners and ownership groups.
- Present strategies and performance updates to stakeholders with transparency and relevance.
- Build relationships with CVBs, community influencers, and third-party travel partners.
- Engage with customers across segments and support sales team visits and meetings.
Qualifications:
- Experience in hotel sales, catering, or marketing.
- Leadership management experience.
- Ability to travel.
- Experience in hotel management or related industry.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Critical analysis capabilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with business strategy and planning.
- Multilingual abilities.
- Experience with multiple hotel brands.
