Position
Telecommunications Central Office Lead Installer – Level IV will provide detailed installation, re-configuration/integration, removal, and maintenance of Carrier Central Office equipment including Transmission, Power, Infrastructure and Fiber systems with minimal supervision. This role may require supervision of assigned crew members and their performance.
Core Responsibilities
- Must master all installation skills per Telco Standard TP76300 and perform duties of the Installer Level 4 as a Working Lead with the assigned team.
- Install equipment across AC/DC Power systems, fiber systems, Central Office Infrastructure, and supervisory/alarm systems.
- Install transport equipment including Ciena, Fujitsu, Cisco, Nortel, Nokia, DELL, Juniper, etc.
- Understand fiber installation standards and procedures.
- Lead installation projects and read/ follow MOPs, specifications, floor plans, equipment, and wiring docs.
- Interface with customers, vendors, and colleagues; may perform turn-up and integration system testing.
- Supervise lower-level Installers/Technicians in installation and testing tasks.
- Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, documentation, and administrative requirements; review subordinate time/expense documentation for accuracy.
- Update installation documents as required and generate MOPs, high-risk activity reports, work schedules, test records, and project completion reports.
- Perform in-process and final quality audits to ensure items meet industry/customer standards.
Work Operations
- Physically place, remove, or modify equipment; install cable trays and racking per drawings.
- Install telecom equipment, cabinets, frames, data servers, switches, routers, repeaters, gateways, multiplexers, transceivers, and firewalls.
- Install DC Power Systems, BDFBs, and fuse panels with cabling.
- Identify, label, terminate, and route cables for power and data; perform system power-up and integration activities.
- Daily quality validation of in-process and completed work.
- Other duties as requested.
Core Experience
- Minimum 8+ years of installation experience or equivalent; prior leadership experience required.
- High school diploma with two years of technical schooling or related experience totaling eight+ years.
- Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram-based instructions; problem solving in variable situations.
- Proficient laptop skills; MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
- Strong communication skills; ability to work with company/customer policies and safety requirements.
- Valid driver\'s license; able to pass pre-employment background checks; insurable; passport a plus.
- Travel within home region and possibly the US; willingness to work varied shifts; international travel a plus.

Physical/Work Environment
Safety compliance with OSHA standards. Ability to lift 50 lbs; stand, walk, climb ladders, and crawl in tight spaces.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Pay Range: $68,000—$80,000 USD. Pearce offers competitive pay with pay equity and compliance with pay transparency laws.
