Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and advise insurers on complex coverage issues
• Draft detailed coverage opinions
• Defend carriers in bad faith and declaratory relief actions
• Manage your own caseload with support from experienced partners
• Handle depositions, discovery, strategy, and dispositive motion work
• Maintain high autonomy over your work and calendar

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in insurance coverage and/or bad faith litigation defense
• Or 3+ years of general litigation defense experience with a strong interest in this space
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills
• A commitment to independence, excellence, and a healthier pace of legal life

Benefits and Compensation

• Base salary up to $200,000 per year (depending on experience)
• Profit-sharing bonus: $145/hour on all net billables above 1,600 hours
• Discretionary bonus potential (many associates have received five-figure bonuses annually)
