Our manufacturing company, in business for 55 years, is seeking a creative and technically skilled Structural Packaging Designer to join our team. This role focuses on creating innovative and functional packaging structures that protect products and enhance our customer’s experience. The ideal candidate will combine engineering principles with aesthetic and sustainability considerations to develop packaging that meets both manufacturing and marketing needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative folding carton designs for customers
• Use CAD software (e.g., ArtiosCAD, Adobe Illustrator) to create prototype samples
• Produce sample boxes using cutting table
• Work closely with vendors and production team to ensure manufacturability
• Prepare dielines and layouts for customer quotes and jobs
• Get artwork from customer and forward to outside printer
• Work with foil vendor on foil dies
• Get customer approval of proofs
• Maintain master list of dies

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of packaging design experience
• Proficiency in ArtiosCAD structural design software and Adobe Illustrator software preferred
• Strong understanding of dielines, structural packaging, and print production processes
• Strong problem-solving and conceptual thinking skills
• Attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills
• Ability to work productively and independently

The pay for this position is negotiable based on experience.
