This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. Create 3 Compelling Videos (for patients, providers and donors) — Volunteer Videographer for Our Patient, Provider and Donor Videos. We’re looking for a skilled videographer to help create three impactful videos for patients, providers, and donors that showcase our commitment to supporting individuals with complex diseases. This project offers the chance to use your creative and technical talents to highlight our mission.
Note: I have reserved 1-2 PM and 3:30-4:30 PM EASTERN TIME every Wednesday for Taproot meetings. When proposing meeting times, please take this reserved slot into consideration. No shows without advanced notice won’t be rescheduled. Only applicants who meet the outlined criteria and can commit to a minimum of 4+ hours per week will be considered. To streamline the application process, please ensure your profile includes a LinkedIn link. Successful applicants should be available for a weekly 30-minute meeting on Mondays to Wednesdays between 12 PM and 4:30 PM Eastern Time, at a mutually convenient time. Please note that candidates actively seeking CPT/Internships or OPT are ineligible for this particular volunteer position.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our team to create a storyboard that aligns with our program’s goals.
- Review existing footage to incorporate into the final video.
- Film interviews with patients, providers, and program staff.
- Capture additional footage to showcase our pilot program in action.
- Edit the videos into a polished 2-3 minute piece, complete with music and captions.
- Deliver the final video in a format suitable for presentations and online sharing.
Qualifications
- Proven videography experience and ability to edit a 2-3 minute video with music and captions.
- Access to necessary equipment and software for filming and editing.
- Strong storytelling and visual composition skills.
- Ability to review existing footage and integrate it into new edits.
- Reliability and ability to commit to a minimum of 4+ hours per week.
