Position Details
Summary of Job Duties: The position is responsible for creating, editing, and managing a wide range of internal and external communications for UAMS Regional Programs and the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine. This position leads the development of technical content including grant proposals, academic manuscripts, and the department\'s annual report, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with institutional and funder guidelines. The role also manages digital outreach efforts, including press releases, social media content, and event coverage, to elevate the visibility of departmental programs and impact. This position requires strong skills in writing, editing, and content strategy, as well as the ability to communicate complex ideas across academic, professional, and public audiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in marketing, communications or related field PLUS 3 years of experience in running a social media program, social media monitoring and publication platform or digital media editing and writing.
- Strong writing and editing skills across multiple formats (grants, reports, newsletters, press releases). Experience managing social media platforms for an organization or professional brand.
