Department Information

The Department of Clinical Sciences offers undergraduate and graduate programs, including:

  • BS Medical Laboratory Science
  • BS and MS Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • BS Radiologic Science
  • BS Respiratory Therapy
  • MS Athletic Training
  • DPT Physical Therapy
  • Clinical Specialist in Advanced Imaging Certificate
  • Tactical Athlete Certificate

Job Summary

The Department is accepting applications for a pool of part-time faculty to provide instruction for the 2025-2026 academic year. Positions are on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction in undergraduate or graduate level courses in the Communication Sciences and Disorders program based on qualifications.
  • Undergraduate courses may include typical speech and language development, phonetics, American Sign Language, communication and deafness, introductory audiology, introductory aural rehabilitation, or clinical/professional writing.
  • Graduate courses may include cognitive and linguistic foundations of language, fluency and fluency disorders, or aural rehabilitation.
  • Teach in a variety of delivery formats. Online instructors must enroll in the online certification program if not already certified.

Required Qualifications

  • Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
  • Commitment to best-practice in instruction, pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.
  • Proficiency with computers and web-based technology.

Additional Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Courses: Earned Masters Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in CSD, or at least 18 graduate hours in deaf education.
  • Graduate Courses: Earned Masters Degree in CSD or related field with at least 18 graduate hours in CSD; current ASHA certification; license or license-eligibility to practice in Georgia.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Earned Doctoral Degree in CSD or related field.
  • CCC-SLP or CCC-A.
  • One or more years of higher education teaching experience.
  • Proficiency in online course design and instruction.

Proposed Salary

Commensurate with experience. This is an exempt position paid monthly.
