Insight Global is hiring: Designer in Houston

Overview

Insight Global is seeking a Designer to join the team of a top client in the Houston, TX area. The person in this role will be providing engineering support for a Data Center to develop a new product line. They will be optimizing the existing design for the product line and coordinating with 3rd party firms to execute the completion of the project.

Responsibilities

• Perform 3D modeling in SolidWorks and review/quality-check 3rd party drafting
• Design optimization and design for structural layouts, low profile, flat skid mounted systems, hand rails, ladders, piping and HVAC
• Coordinate with 3rd party firms to execute project completion

Qualifications

• 7-12 years of experience in a designer role
• SolidWorks
• Knowledge of NEMA, NFPA and UL codes
• Structural & electrical knowledge (single line diagrams, P&Id, etc.)
• Background in industrial environment (hospitals, stadiums, etc.)
