As part of this expansion, we are looking for a Page Editor to join the California Post team. Reporting into the Print Production Chief, the Page Editor will be responsible for designing daily newspaper layouts that are visually engaging, sharp, and on brand. This role requires strong print design skills, fast decision-making under deadline pressure, and proficiency with both Méthode and InDesign. The Page Editor will collaborate with editors, photo editors, and other designers to ensure every page is executed at the highest level.
Responsibilities
- Design daily newspaper layouts across news, features, sports, and other sections.
- Work in Méthode and InDesign to execute pages quickly and accurately.
- Collaborate with editors and photo teams to pair sharp headlines with compelling visuals.
- Ensure layouts are consistent with the California Post’s style and editorial standards.
- Update and adjust designs in real time as stories develop and editions change.
- Deliver creative, clear, and reader-friendly pages under tight deadlines.
- Contribute fresh ideas for improving the visual presentation of the newspaper.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in print design for a newspaper or major publication.
- Proficiency in Méthode and Adobe InDesign is a must.
- Strong eye for typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Proven ability to design clean, engaging pages under daily newsroom deadlines.
- Collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as news demands.
Note: The New York Post Media Group adheres to a hybrid work model. This role will be expected to report into the office 4 days per week (subject to change depending on business needs).

Pay Range: $75,000 – $85,000
