Who We Are

We are currently looking for a Master Tradesperson 3 (electrician) to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll support the Aircraft Carrier Climate Improvement Team (ACCCIT) by working on electrical systems to repair and improve shipboard ventilation systems. Your work will directly support the U.S. Navy and contribute to America’s national defense.

What You Will Do

  • Able to work within trades team on active class surface ships to assist with alterations and installations for fleet modernization.
  • Perform a variety of maintenance and technical support on shipboard systems, integrated systems, and related equipment/software onboard Aircraft Carriers.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time.
  • Apply understanding of production and processes toward completion of assignments.
  • Interface with customers, manage subcontractors and provide work direction to others.
  • Develop and use technical documents including controlled work packages, formal work processes and procedures, test documents, reports and task/trip reports.
  • Schedule, report and brief customers and senior management.
  • Perform duties outside of specialty to complete installation or work assignment.

Minimum Education and Qualifications

  • High School/GED or equivalent; 4 years of related experience. Trades certifications preferred. Must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.
  • Knowledge and experience with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems and related equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to follow and enforce safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD confidential security clearance and maintain clearance level throughout employment.
  • Ability to obtain base access credentials within 60 days of start date and maintain credentials throughout employment.
  • Ability to provide hand tools per trade designation.

Preferred / Bonus Points

  • Vocational school, apprenticeship, or skilled trades certificate programs.
  • Current or active DoD clearance preferred.
  • OSHA 10 Maritime Certification.
  • Knowledge of Navy Tag Out program, NSTM 300, and 3M manual.
  • Motor Controller experience.
  • Understanding of ventilation and related components.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.

Salary and Benefits

  • Anticipated Salary Range: $41,860.00 - $55,000.00
  • Security Clearance: None
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment, climb ladders, work in extreme temperatures, aboard ships, in shipyards, and in confined spaces. Travel may be required. Respirator use may be required.
