Responsibilities

• Produce the live Canton’s Morning News Show from 5:30 am to 10 am Monday through Friday
• Help schedule interviews and develop topics for the show
• Record interviews and post them on our website podcast, create shorts for YouTube, and share them on other social media
• Stay up to date on local, state, and national news and sports to contribute to the show
• Be proficient in Streamyard, WordPress, Google Docs, and Sheets
• Be flexible, as duties can change daily. Covering press conferences, sports events, and more is a part of some days
• Engage in a respectful manner with guests and listeners
• Assist in special promotions, programming activities, and produces show/station promos
• Video creation abilities are required
• Background in sports play-by-play and commentary, and a good knowledge of sports is helpful

Requirements

• A minimum of one year of show producer experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of all applicable FCC rules and regulations
• Experience in all social networking
• Proficient in the use of audio editing software and broadcast equipment, e.g., Cool Edit or Adobe Audition
• Skilled in the operation of the control board, remote broadcasting, and other related production equipment
• Ability to work nights and weekends during sporting events
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a fully insured personal vehicle
