Overview

Project Coordinator – High-End Hospitality & Residential Interior Design

Marc Ange Design Studio is an award-winning, multidisciplinary design practice specializing in extraordinary, luxury interior and architectural projects for hospitality, residential, and commercial clients. Our work blends art, architecture, and design into spaces that are conceptually bold, emotionally resonant, and meticulously executed. Current projects include high-profile restaurants, hotels, and private estates in the US and internationally. We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our growing team in Los Angeles. This is a key role that will act as the glue between the creative director, architect, vendors, and clients—ensuring projects are executed flawlessly, on time, and on budget.

Role Overview: The Project Coordinator is responsible for end-to-end project tracking and coordination across multiple active hospitality and high-end residential projects. You will work closely with the Creative Director (Marc Ange), the architect, vendors, contractors, and clients to ensure the design intent is realized, schedules are maintained, and information flows efficiently. This is not a purely administrative role — it requires a proactive, resourceful professional with hands-on experience in hospitality interior design projects who can anticipate needs, solve problems, and keep projects running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management & Scheduling: Develop and maintain project timelines, deliverable trackers, and key milestone calendars.
  • Schedule and facilitate internal and external project meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute meeting notes.
  • Follow up with team members, vendors, and contractors to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Procurement & Logistics: Manage FF&E and material procurement, including vendor coordination, lead times, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
  • Track samples, approvals, and submittals to ensure they align with design intent and deadlines.
  • Oversee storage and delivery logistics for furnishings and finishes.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain updated project documentation (FF&E schedules, budgets, timelines) in shared cloud platforms.
  • Prepare weekly project status reports for the Creative Director.
  • Keep record of all decisions, RFIs, and change orders for future reference.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Act as a day-to-day point of contact for clients and vendors (with oversight from the Creative Director).
  • Coordinate client presentations, site meetings, and walkthroughs.
  • Provide professional, polished communication that reflects the studio’s luxury positioning.
  • Construction & Site Coordination: Attend site meetings to monitor progress, track installations, and flag any issues early.
  • Coordinate with contractors and architect to resolve discrepancies and ensure alignment with design intent.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3–5+ years of experience in interior design project coordination or project management, with proven experience in luxury hospitality projects (restaurants, hotels, clubs, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of FF&E procurement, construction sequencing, and interior design documentation.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
  • Polished communicator with ability to represent a high-end design brand to clients and vendors.
  • Proficient in project management tools (Asana, Monday.com, Notion, or equivalent) and cloud collaboration (Google Workspace, Dropbox).
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD/REVIT and reading construction drawings a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field preferred.

Soft Skills & Personal Traits

  • Proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • High attention to detail and quality — “nothing slips through the cracks” mentality.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving creative environment.
  • Professional, discreet, and emotionally intelligent when handling clients and contractors.
  • Passionate about design and hospitality, with a refined aesthetic sensibility.

+ Potential for growth into Studio Manager / Operations Lead as the studio expands. Exposure to world-class projects and creative mentorship from an internationally recognized designer.
