Adjunct Instructor, Applied Media Communications, Technical/Studio Courses, UC Blue Ash College
The Media Communications & Technology Department invites applications for our Applied Media Communications Adjunct Faculty Pool. We seek qualified part-time faculty to teach freshman- and sophomore-level courses across a range of media disciplines.
Overview
We offer courses in Media Design Foundations, Photography, Video Production, Audio Production, Web Design I & II, Animation, Motion Graphics, and Job preparation. Courses may be day, evening, or asynchronous online.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned undergraduate courses on a part-time basis.
- Prepare weekly course modules and related instructional media.
- Evaluate student coursework and provide timely feedback.
- Support student learning and department goals.
- Respond promptly to university and student communications.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Use Canvas (course management system) and any textbook-specific systems.
- Hold regular office hours to meet with students.
- Participate in at least one professional development workshop per year.
- Offer courses in person (day or evening) or asynchronously online.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in a technical media field such as video production, web development, media design, photography, animation, audio, or a related discipline.
Required Experience
- At least two (2) years of professional media production experience.
- At least one (1) year of teaching experience.
Additional Qualifications Considered
- Master’s degree in a media discipline or related field.
- Experience teaching or working in multiple areas of applied media.
- Teaching experience in a college setting.
