Senior UX/UI Designer (AI) - Hybrid at GEICO. This position is a hybrid role that requires on-site presence 3 days a week at one of the following locations: Chevy Chase, MD; Chicago, IL; Palo Alto, CA; Fredericksburg, VA; Seattle, WA; Manhattan, NYC.

Base pay range

$104,550.00/yr - $172,200.00/yr

About GEICO

GEICO is looking for an accomplished, customer obsessed, and results oriented Senior UX/UI Designer. The role involves collaborating with customers, engineers, and product management to determine design requirements, create mockups, user workflows, conduct user research, and provide feedback. The candidate will design solutions that responsibly incorporate generative AI into user experiences and partner with data science and product management to meet customer and business needs. Responsibilities

• Collaborates with product, engineering, and business teams to uncover customer and business needs
• Translates complex ideas into understandable concepts and solutions that evolve and enhance the product experience
• Understands and navigates the emerging fields of ML, AI and Generative AI to deliver high quality design solutions
• Advocates for a responsible and ethical approach to AI in our product and services
• Manages shifting priorities to provide clear direction and input on product prioritization and early product definition
• Advocates for the customer through human-centered design methods, including discovery, research, and user testing
• Facilitates and participates in workshops with internal and external stakeholders to align with business needs
• Creates process and user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and user interface specifications
• Delivers design assets for acceptance, development, and delivery to market in partnership with engineering

Qualifications

• Basic: 5+ years of experience in User Experience design (or 3+ with Masters degree)
• Basic: 2+ years of experience with gen AI, virtual agent or similar products
• Preferred: Experience designing for cross-channel (responsive web and native mobile interfaces)
• Preferred: Experience working with AI/ML and Data Science teams
• Preferred: Experience with multi-modal Generative AI platforms
• Preferred: Ability to collaborate with Product Management, Engineering and Operations teams
• Preferred: Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Figma) and working within an established design system in an agile environment

Design solutions that responsibly incorporate generative AI into user experiences and support business goals. Stay updated on AI landscape and opportunities to advance UX/UI practices.
