The Visual role creates visually engaging store displays, interior layouts, and well-balanced audio elements. Working under the guidance of Visual Leadership, the visual will design and present merchandise to enhance the overall shopping experience and attract and retain customers.

What You’ll Do

• Implement a visual merchandising strategy that helps achieve the company’s sales objectives.
• Execute visually appealing store merchandising displays under Visual Leadership; coordinate layout plans for furniture, lighting, and accessories; transition seasonal products.
• Remerchandise displays, signage, point-of-sale, and select areas regularly to maximize product sell-through. Conduct floor moves and changes consistent with the layout plan; communicate with Visual management about sold items.
• Complete store recovery processes throughout the day; maintain store interior and exterior appearance with the assistance of warehouse and housekeeping associates. Initiate repair and maintenance of store lighting, fixtures, paint, flooring, etc., with store management.
• Check-in and unpack accessory merchandise and other product shipments in collaboration with the warehouse associate; coordinate product tagging and showroom placement; participate in the bi-annual inventory process.
• Adhere to visual merchandising standards and bulletins provided by Visual Leadership. Ensure audio/visual elements comply with standards and involve associates in visual maintenance.
• Develop knowledge of all company products, promotions, and store functions; stay up to date on fashion styles and trends.
• Mentor store staff on merchandising basics; involve staff in visual maintenance and communications of visual standards.
• Coordinate with the store manager regarding regular tasks, visual needs, incoming products, and point-of-sale materials.
• Complete any additional tasks as assigned by management.

What You Bring

• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• At least 18 years old.
• 2 years of experience in retail store visual merchandising, preferably in home furnishings.
• Regularly lift objects over 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to transport loads of 100 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Associate degree in interior design, merchandising, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Maintain reliable attendance.
