Overview

The Operations & Visual Manager is a critical member of the store leadership team accountable for bringing Alo’s operational and visual strategy to life in the store. This role is passionate about inventory management, labor planning and scheduling, and visual execution — with a focus on keeping the store customer-ready at all times. Responsibilities involve movement throughout the store, including the sales floor and back of house, and taking initiative to maintain a clean, safe, inviting and efficient operation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support execution of key operational and visual processes
  • Investigate and root cause inventory accuracy issues, partnering with the General Manager to escalate process or system gaps
  • Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor using business performance data
  • Support sell-through management by ensuring inventory counts are accurate and coordinating labor hours to efficiently receive product deliveries
  • Maintain a safe work environment and efficient operation
  • Represent the business in meetings and on conference calls, in partnership with the General Manager
  • Review and monitor budget, reporting and other business data; manage metrics such as expenses and sell-through and inform planning processes
  • Plan workflows to protect optimal performance
  • Lead the Operations and Visual team with accountability, coaching, development of talent, and KPI-driven communication
  • Establish internal and external pipeline through succession planning and recruitment strategy
  • Create effective schedules prioritizing business needs in partnership with the General/Store Manager
  • Oversee Flow experience deliverables while protecting operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with the General/Store Manager’s vision and work cross-functionally with business partners to achieve inventory and sales floor KPIs

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Agile with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment
  • Aligns with Alo’s Guiding Principles
  • Independent work ethic, time management skills, and personal accountability
  • Ability to move constantly in and around all areas of the store
  • Ability to lift, push, carry or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and/or twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder
  • Ability to stand and move for an entire shift

Schedule

Full-time schedule with availability for opening, closing and weekend shifts. All team members are expected to work during the company’s Blackout period, from the week of American Thanksgiving through the end of the holiday season.
