Overview

Local News Producer position at 40/29, the ABC affiliate in Rogers, AR. Location: Bentonville, AR. Salary range: $90,000 - $180,000. The role requires creating meaningful and memorable newscasts, with a creative vision, decisive planning, and the ability to communicate the plan to the team. You will report to the News Director.

Responsibilities

• Select, research, and write content for live newscasts to make the newscast an "experience" for viewers
• Work with and guide reporters in story production
• Coordinate creative vision with team of anchors, reporters, meteorologists, photographers, editors, and production staff
• Boothing assigned newscasts, breaking news and weather events
• Live timing of newscasts

Qualifications

• Professional or college producing experience
• Experience working in a newsroom
• Writing and copy-editing skills
• Ability to coordinate several crews and responsibilities simultaneously
• Experience summarizing information into easy-to-understand components
• Creative presentation style, and ability to showcase all resources and elements
• Highest journalistic integrity and ethical standards
• Availability to work holidays, nights, weekends and overnights; flexible with schedule to cover breaking news
• Related military experience will be considered
