We bring together scholars and practitioners from around the world to inform policy, shape public discourse, and foster international collaboration on pressing global challenges.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Grant Writer to join our team and help expand GCPA’s global impact. The Grant Writer will identify funding opportunities, prepare proposals, and ensure our projects align with donor priorities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced grant writer with an interest in geopolitics and international relations to contribute to meaningful, global-scale work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and write high-quality proposals, concept notes, and reports.
  • Collaborate with program and research staff to articulate project goals, activities, and outcomes.
  • Track submission deadlines, reporting schedules, and donor requirements.
  • Maintain a database of proposals and funding opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional grant writing experience with a record of successful proposals.
  • Bachelor’s degree required (International Relations, Political Science, Economics, or related field preferred).
  • Good familiarity of geopolitics and global policy issues.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and research skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote, international team environment.

Location

Remote. GCPA is seeking to fill up to seven positions, with locations dispersed across Africa, the United States, the Middle East, Europe, and the Pacific.

Compensation

This role begins as a volunteer/contract opportunity with potential for expanded paid opportunities as GCPA grows its funded projects.
